Mark

A Mark is a latitude and longitude coordinate on the chart that is
independent of a Route. If a Mark is included in a Route, the Mark
will remain on the chart even if the Route is deleted. Mark properties
will display in the SysInfo window pane, Properties panel.
If you are currently in a view that does not display the SysInfo
window pane, and you select Mark Properties, the view will
automatically switch to the standard 3-panel view.
When you make changes to Mark properties the Chart window
pane redraws the Mark icon on that window.

Route

A Route is a collection of Waypoints or Marks. Waypoints in a
Route are numbered sequentially in the order that you create
them, and are meant to be followed by the boat from beginning
to end. A route consists of at least 2 waypoints or marks.

Track

A Track represents the historical path of your boat. It is made up
of a series of track points connected by line segments whose
length depends on the frequency of track recording. Track point
recording can be modified using the Boat Properties panel of
the SysInfo window pane.

Waypoint

A Waypoint is a latitude and longitude coordinate created for
routes or line boundaries. Waypoints do not exist outside of
routes and line boundaries. Waypoints are similar to Marks but
a Mark can exist on the chart independent of a route or line
boundary.

Nav Object Persistence

Jeppesen Workboat Navigator stores Nav Object data every 5 minutes, maintaining
Lat/Lon, memo, name, and other object-specific information. This data can be
restored in the event of a system failure, product upgrade, or other events which
might otherwise affect data.
Nav Object files are stored by default in C:\\Program Files\Jeppesen Marine\
WorkboatNavigator\Database\navobj.txt.
