[:SOURce[<n>]]:CURRent:PROTection:STATe

Syntax

[:SOURce[<n>]]:CURRent:PROTection:STATe {ON|OFF}
[:SOURce[<n>]]:CURRent:PROTection:STATe?

Description

Enable or disable the overcurrent protection (OCP) function of the specified

channel.
Query the status of the overcurrent protection (OCP) function of the specified

channel.

Explanation

 When the overcurrent protection function is enabled, the output turns off

automatically when the output current exceeds the overcurrent protection

value currently set. You can send the

[:SOURce[<n>]]:CURRent:PROTection:TRIPped?

command to query whether

overcurrent protection occurred on the specified channel.

 When [:SOURce[<n>]] or [<n>] is omitted, the system sets the

corresponding parameter of the channel currently selected.

 You can also send the

:OUTPut:OCP[:STATe]

command to enable or disable the

OCP function of the specified channel.

 You can send the

[:SOURce[<n>]]:CURRent:PROTection[:LEVel]

command to

query the current OCP value of the specified channel.

Return Format

The query returns ON or OFF.

Example

:CURR:PROT:STAT ON /*Enable the OCP function of the current channel*/
:CURR:PROT:STAT? /*Query the status of the OCP function of the current

channel and the query returns ON*/
