Use the key volume encoder knob associated with the key assignment to change the
assignment on a specific key. For example, to change key 1, operate key volume encoder knob
1, to change key 2, operate key volume encoder knob 2, and so on.
To modify the key assignment using key assignment mode , do the following:
1. Press and hold or double-click the key volume knob until a scrollable list appears on the
front panel display.
2. Turn the encoder knob to navigate to the key assignment.
3. Click the encoder knob to confirm the selection.
To change the key assignment type using key assignment mode , do the following:
1. Press and hold or double-click the key volume knob until a scrollable list appears on the
front panel display.
2. Press the right or left arrow button on the keypad.
3. Turn the encoder knob to navigate to the key assignment.
4. Click the encoder knob to confirm the selection.
To delete the key assignment , do the following:
1. Press and hold or double-click the key volume knob until a scrollable list appears on the
front panel display.
2. Press the right or left arrow button on the keypad until the unassigned assignment
displays.
3. Click the encoder knob to confirm the selection.
10.16 SA keypad button
The SA keypad button , also known as Stage Announce, allows the OMS front panel user to
make an announcement over a public address system. When the SA button is pressed, the
active microphone audio is routed to the stage announce output port and removed from all
other existing mixes for the duration the key is pressed.
The function of this key is set as momentary operation. This means that when the user presses
the key, the function is active, and when the key is released, the device goes back to normal
operation.
The SA key can never be set to latch on.
Other devices in the system can also perform a stage announce by assigning the SA special
function key assignment to one of the device's keys. The SA key assignment operation in the
same manner as the OMS SA keypad button.
To
send an announcement using the SA button , do the following:
1. Press the SHIFT button .
2. Press and hold the SA button to make the announcement.
3. Release the SA button when done making the announcement.
