The individual functions can be selected either by clicking on them with your mouse or by
pressing the ALT key together with the accelerator key (underlined letter).
How exactly such shortcuts are handled depends on the operating system or the
Window Manager, e.g. on whether the keys are pressed simultaneously or first ALT
and then the key for the undescored character is pressed.
