6.2.9.11 Physical Volume Operations
This submenu offers the following functions:
– Show Physical Volumes
– Link/Unlink Volume Groups
– Add Physical Volumes
– Erase Physical Volumes
– Reorganize Physical Volumes
These menu items are offered only if the PLM is running.
6.2.9.12 Physical Volume Operations » Show Physical Volumes
An identical function is offered in the Global Status under “Statistics” (see page 257 ).
An intermediate menu makes it possible to identify the physical volume or volumes:
You must specify the volume ID either in full or not at all. The drop-down menus for the
specification of the volume group or library also contain the lines “all-data” and “all-
cleaning”. If you specify “all”, this means that the group or library assignment is of no impor-
tance for the selection of the volumes that are to be displayed.
