B.4.1 Using the parametrising interface
The parameterising interface (RS232) can be used to access
the objects of the Command Interpreter" (CI) for the
SFC−LACI. The FCT accesses the CI objects, too.

Parametrising interface (RS232)
Caution
Not using the parametrising interface as designated
causes injury to people and material damage
The parametrising interface (RS232) is
Ĉ not electrically isolated and
Ĉ not real−time capable.
It is not intended for permanent connection to PC systems
or as a controller interface.
Controlling the SFC−LACI via RS232 requires, among other
things, a risk assessment by the user, ambient conditions
free of interference and reliability of data transmission e.g.
via the control program of the higher−order control system.
· Note that control of the SFC−LACI via the RS232 does not
comply with designated use.
· Use the connection only for parameterising, commisĆ
sioning and diagnosis.
