Chapter 4 Add POINT I/O

The Request History displays
all the devices, including the
packaged controller, on your
network that need an IP
address. The Ethernet address
(MAC ID) of the adapter
corresponds with the address
you recorded on

Network Worksheet

.

5. Double-click the request

from your adapter.

6. Enter the IP address and

record it on the

Network Worksheet

inside

the back cover.

If you are not using an isolated
network, obtain these numbers
from your network
administrator.

7. Click OK.

8. To disable BootP/DHCP, select the adapter from the Relation List and click Disable

BOOTP/DHCP.

[Disable BOOTP/DHCP] Command successful
appears in the Status bar.

9. Close the BOOTP/DHCP Server utility.

If you are prompted to save changes, click No.

IMPORTANT

For a device to retain its IP address through a power cycle, BootP/DHCP must be disabled. Complete step
8 to
disable BootP/DHCP for the adapter.
