ONFIGURATION

You can use the valid CONFIG command to make sure that your configuration
settings have been entered correctly. When your enter the valid

command, the

SHARK™ IAD verifies that all required settings for all services are present and
that settings are consistent.

Error: Subnet mask is incorrect
Global Validation did not pass inspection!

You can use the valid command to verify your configuration settings at any
time. Your SHARK™ IAD automatically validates your configuration any time
you save a modified configuration.

AVING YOUR

CONFIGURATION

You must enter a save command before quitting out of the configurator to save
any changes you made during your configuration session. The new
configuration becomes effective upon entering the save command for all
modules except the ROUTER module. If changes were made to the ROUTER
configuration, a coldstart ROUTER or coldstart SYSTEM command must be
issued from the system root prompt to activate the changes. See the save
command on page 6-28.

CONFIG
Commands

Remember, you reach a particular module's configuration mode by typing

CONFIG

from the ROOT prompt:

SHARK010101000011> CONFIG

Then entering the module name exactly as shown in these examples:

SET

Sets configuration data. Use this command when entering keywords and their
arguments.

SCRIPT

Displays configuration setup script. When entered at the top node a complete
display of the entire configuration for all modules is displayed. When entered
from a subnode of the configurator's hierarchy, the configuration for that
