different router channels than connections on XCON-2.
For example a 256k router bandwidth may be programmed as in any one of
the following destination channel examples:

1-4

10-13

21-24,

BUT NOT programmed in any combination of non-contiguous channels.

2. The Router's TDM must be configured to use the same DS0s as the cross

connect destination parameter. See the TDM setup section on page 6-35 of
this chapter.

3. A WAN channel can not be assigned to loop back on itself or to another

channel on the same module. Use the Loopback functions in the command
lpbk on page 6-14 to perform any looping functions.

4. The cross connects for the V.35 must have the Destination Time Slots in

sequential order and be contiguous. They also must not wrap around from
Destination Time Slot 24 to Destination Time Slot 1 to complete the
bandwidth.

Table 5 shows examples on how to program a variety of cross connect
examples. The text in italic is what the user enters at the cross connect module
prompt.

Table 5:

Cross Connect Programming examples

1. The module in the XCON position will determine the number of source T1’s for cross

connecting. The XCON module will connect up to two T1s as sources while the XC2T
module will connect up to four T1s as sources.

2. The following program, WAN1 is the source and VOICE1 is the destination for this cross

connect group. These commands route 8 channels in any sequence. The DS0s cross
connect to the destination module in voice slot 1, circuits 1 - 8.
