Power Dissipation Models

9SA-FXS0-V01
9SA-FXS0-V02

Max Power Consumption per voice module – 8 circuits.

2.0 watts max @ 5V (included HC16 running at 25MHz, 2
QSLACs)
8 watts max @ -70vrms (15 REN load)
4.8 watts max @ -24V (23ma loop current for 8 voice
circuits on < 550 Ohm loop, half battery switch in)
or
9.6 watts max @ -48V (23ma loop current for 8 voice
circuits on > 550 Ohm loop)

Max Power dissipation per voice module – 8 circuits.

2.0 watts max @ 5V (included HC16 running at 25MHz, 2
QSLACs) 3.4 watts max @ -24V (4.8W minus a 275
Ohm termination at 23ma on 8 circuits, half battery switch
in)
or
6.8 watts max @ -48V (9.6W minus a 560 Ohm
termination at 23ma on 8 circuits)
or
2.1 watts max @ 70vrms -- with a 5 REN load on 3
circuits. Note: This consumes all of the ringing capacity.
Only one module at a time can dissipate this power.

Under normal battery conditions the termination equipment, at
400, could dissipate a minimum of .25W per circuit – 0ft loop.
However, during reverse battery conditions the source-sink
relationship between the FXS/DPO plug and the terminating
equipment will flip-flop. Consequently, power dissipation
under these conditions cannot be guaranteed.
