PARAMETERS

Network mode, or, gain when in Voice CPE mode} | alarm_processing |
state | signaling]

See the following for each parameter definitions:

impedance

(VOICE-1 circuit c1)>>set impedance y where y={600 | 900}
Specifies the impedance for the specified circuit to match the equipment into
which this 2W loop is connected. Options are:

600 - 600 ohms impedance

900 - 900 ohms impedance

alarm-processing

(VOICE-1 circuit c1)>>set alarm-processing t
t=
{norm | tmb}. Specifies the type of trunk processing for this circuit.
Options are:

norm - Normal Trunk processing. With this option selected, when the
circuit goes down, the trunk will be released by opening the Tip lead until
the CGA is cleared. The caller will simply experience a "dead" line and
will not hear any indication that the line is out of service.

tmb - Trunk Make Busy. With this option selected, when the circuit goes
down, the unit will release the trunk by opening the Tip lead for 2.5
seconds then Tip ground is applied causing the trunk to go to a busy state.
This condition is maintained until the CGA condition is cleared. In this
case, the caller will experience a "busy" signal until the line is put back
into service.

state

(VOICE-1 circuit c1)>>set state u where u={standby | active}
Specifies whether or not this circuit is in use. Options are:

standby - to deactivate this circuit.

active - to activate this circuit.

signaling

(VOICE-1 circuit c1)>>set signaling w where w=
{FXS | DPO | EMWink | EMWinkDelay | EMImmediate | EMDelayDial}
for FXS
{ FXOLS | FXOGS | DPT } for FXO
Specifies the type of signaling for this circuit. Options are:

FXS - for Foreign eXchange Station signaling.

DPO - for Dial Pulse Originating signaling.

EMWink - for E&M Wink Start

EMWinkDelay - for E&M Wink Delay Dial

EMImmediate - for E&M Immediate Dial

EMDelayDial - for E&M Delay Dial

FXOLS - for Foreign eXchange Office Loop Start signaling.

FXOGS - for Foreign eXchange Office Ground Start signaling.

DPT - for Dial Pulse Terminate signaling.

CPE

SPECIFIC

PARAMETERS

CPE specific parameters are those that are set up when the SHARK™ IAD is in
a Customer Premises Environment (CPE). As specified by the FCC only a
limited gain control of the 2W loop is allowed when a device is on the
customer's premise. CPE voice mode is set by the Voice mode command of the
TIMING module. See page 6-6-32 for a complete description of the voice mode
