IP S

ETTINGS

You can use these commands to enable TCP/IP, identify a default gateway, and
to enter TCP/IP settings for the SHARK™ IAD Ethernet and TDM(x) VCC(y)
ports. Enter the IP node by entering the following from the top of the CONFIG
mode as shown:

(top)>> ROUTER
(ROUTER)>> ip
(ROUTER ip)>>

option

set option { on | off }
Enables or disables SHARK™ IAD TCP/IP ports. You must enable TCP/IP
services before you can enter other TCP/IP settings for the SHARK™ IAD. If
you turn off TCP/IP services and perform a save, the SHARK™ IAD clears its
TCP/IP settings.

routing

set routing { on | off }

FDL Setup

This command configures the IP parameters for the FDL.

From the CONFIG node top level enter:

(top)>> ROUTER
(ROUTER)>> ip
(ROUTER ip)>> fdl

(

ROUTER ip fdl)>> set

option (off) [ off | on ]:on
address (192.168.17.254): Enter the destination IP network of traffic that
should be routed over the FDL
broadcast (192.168.17.255): Enter the Broadcast address for the FDL
netmask (255.255.255.0): Enter the netmask for the FDL
rip-send (off) [ off | v1 | v2 | v1-compat ]:v1
rip-receive (off) [ off | v1 | v2 | v1-compat ]:v1

option

set option {on | off} Enables or disables the FDL channel communications from
the FDL of ESF framing to the router.

address

set address.nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn Specifies the destination IP network of traffic
that should be routed over the FDL.

broadcast

set broadcast.nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn Specifies the broadcast address for the TCP/IP
network connected to the FDL port. IP hosts use the broadcast address to send
messages to every host on your network simultaneously. The broadcast address
for most networks is the network number followed by 255. For example, the
broadcast address for the 192.168.1.0 network would be 192.168.1.255.

netmask

set broadcast nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn Specifies the broadcast address for the TCP/IP
network connected to the FDL port. IP hosts use the broadcast address to send
messages to every host on your network simultaneously. The broadcast address
for most networks is the network number followed by 255. For example, the
broadcast address for the 192.168.1.0 network would be 192.168.1.255.

rip send

set rip send {off | v1 | v2 | v1 compat} Specifies the rip protocol to be used.
