required to the demarcation. Options are.

0 - For no additional loss in the transmit side.

-7.5 - For a 7.5 dB loss in the transmit side

-15 - For a 15 dB loss in the transmit side

-22.5 - For a 22.5 dB loss in the transmit side

framing

(XC2T)>>set XC2T t1-1 framing v v={sf | esf | slc-96 }
Specifies the type of T1 framing. Options are:

sf – SuperFrame

esf - Extended SuperFrame

slc-96 - The SLC-96 option is compatible with SLC Mode 1, Sometimes

known as SLC D1D, as outlined in standard TR08.

line_coding

(XC2T)>>set XC2T t1-1 line_coding t t = {ami | b8zs }
Specifies the type of T1 line coding. Options are:

ami - AMI Alternate Mark Inversion. Line coding where successive ones

are alternately inverted.

b8zs - Bipolar 8 Zero Substitution. This option replaces string of eight

zeros with a bipolar violation code at the sending end and replaces the
bipolar violation code with a string of eight zeros at the receiving end.

in_band_net_loop

(XC2T)>>set XC2T t1-1 in_band_net_loop v v={on | off }
Turns on or off the ability to detect looping codes coming from the network side
of the T1 inteface. With the framing patterns of SF or ESF selected, the
following codes can be detected:

When the Line Build Out is set for DSX and the in band is enabled, the code

of NI can be detected.

When the Line Build Out is set for CSU and the in band is enabled, the code

of CSU can be detected.

esf_dl_net_loop

(XC2T)>>set XC2T t1-1 esf_dl_net_loop t t ={on | off }
Turns on or off the ability to detect looping codes coming from the network side
of the T1 interface with the framing pattern set to ESF:

When the FDL is not used for IP/SNMP, the codes of FDL LINE, FDL

PAYLOAD and FDL NETWORK can be detected independent of the of the
Line Build Out.

When the FDL is used for IP/SNMP, no loopback codes can be transmitted

over the FDL.

CONFIGURE
THE CROSS
CONNECT

There are up to four cross connect sources as defined by the system. The XCON
module can cross connect up to two sources. The XC2T module can cross
connect up to four sources.
See Table 5 for CLI cross connect command examples and their descriptions.

MODE

Begin configuration of the cross connects by entering the XCON-IF subnode.
(For a explanation of the Config command hierarchy see the section titled
"Navigating the config hierarchy" on page 6-24 of this chapter.)
