U

Setup clearance:

Distance between tool tip and workpiece surface

for automated approach of the cycle start position in the tool axis.

U

2nd set-up clearance:

Position to which the TNC positions the tool

at the end of a machining step. The next machining position is
approached at this height in the machining plane.

U

F positioning:

Feed rate at which the TNC traverses the tool within

a cycle.

U

F retraction

: Feed rate at which the TNC retracts the tool.

Global data for drilling operations

U

Retraction rate for chip breaking:

Value by which the TNC

retracts the tool during chip breaking.

U

Dwell time at depth:

Time in seconds that the tool remains at the

hole bottom.

U

Dwell time at top:

Time in seconds that the tool remains at the

setup clearance.

The parameters are valid for all canned cycles with
numbers greater than 2xx.

The parameters apply to the drilling, tapping and thread
milling cycles 200 to 209, 240, and 262 to 267.
