Chapter 13 Signal Source

MSO1000Z/DS1000Z combines signal generator and oscilloscope in one instrument

by providing a built-in dual-channel, 25MHz signal generator, thus providing

convenience for engineers who need to use the signal generator and oscilloscope at

the same time. This chapter introduces how to use the built-in signal generator. As

the functions and setting methods of source 1 and source 2 are the same, this

chapter takes Source 1 for illustration.

Press Source to enter the signal generator control menu.
 Press Output to enable or disable the signal output. When it is enabled, the

[Source1] connector at the rear panel outputs a signal according to the current

setting.

 Press Src1Conf to set the signal type and the signal parameters.
 Press StatusDisp to view the parameter settings of SOURCE1 and SOURCE2,

such as the frequency, amplitude, offset, phase, modulation type and

modulation frequency, etc.

 Press RecoveryCalls to set the output signal type and parameters to be

recalled when the oscilloscope is powered on again after power-off. You can

select "Last" or "Default".

 Pressing Factory can restore the default settings of the signal source

separately.

Note:

The function of SourceOutput is the same with that of Source

Src1ConfOutput.
