Remote Interface Configuration

MSO1000Z/DS1000Z provides three remote control interfaces: USB Device (TMC and

SICD static image capture devices share this port), LAN and GPIB (expanded from

the USB Host interface by the USB-GPIB interface converter). The priority order of

the three ports is USB Device, LAN and GPIB. You can press UtilityIO Setting
RemoteIO to select the desired communication interface according to the

particular condition.
 When the USB Device interface is connected and press UtilityIO Setting

USB Device  "Computer", the system will select the USB Device interface

automatically as the only valid interface no matter whether the LAN and GPIB

interfaces are connected or not. At this point, the RemoteIO menu is not

available as shown in figure (a).

 When only the GPIB or LAN interface is connected, the system will automatically

detect the corresponding interface and the display status of the corresponding

interface is "ON". At this point, you can press the corresponding softkey to turn

on or off the remote connection. The RemoteIO menu is as shown in figure (b)

and figure (c).

 When the GPIB and LAN interfaces are connected at the same time, the system

will set LAN (the display status is "ON") as the current control interface by

default. At this point, LAN and GPIB are available. You can select the

communication interface according to your needs. The RemoteIO menu is as

shown in figure (d).
