To Output Basic Waveform

MSO1000Z/DS1000Z built-in signal source can output a variety of basic waveforms,

including sine, square, ramp, pulse, DC and noise.

To Output Sine

Press Src1Conf to open the waveform setting menu. Press Wave and select "Sine".

At this point, you can set the sine parameters.

1. Source 1 output

Press Output to turn on or off the signal output. This function is the same with
that of SourceOutput. When "ON" is selected, the signal set currently is
output from the [Source1] connector at the rear panel.

2. Set the frequency

Press Frequency to set the frequency of the signal. For the setting method,

please refer to the introduction in "Parameter Setting Method". For different

waveforms, the frequency ranges are different.

Sine: 100 mHz to 25 MHz

Square: 100 mHz to 15 MHz

Ramp: 100 mHz to 100 kHz

Pulse: 100 mHz to 1 MHz

DC and noise: there is no frequency parameter.

3. Set the amplitude

Press Amplitude to set the amplitude of the signal. For the setting method,

please refer to the introduction in "Parameter Setting Method". When the

impedance is set to HighZ, the range is from 20 mVpp to 5 Vpp; when the

impedance is set to 50 Ω, the range is from 10 mVpp to 2.5 Vpp.

4. Set the DC offset voltage

Press Offset to set the DC offset of the signal. For the setting method, please

refer to the introduction in "

Parameter Setting Method". When the

impedance is HighZ, the range is from (-2.5 V + the current amplitude/2) to (2.5

V - the current amplitude/2); when the impedance is set to 50 Ω, the range is

from (-1.25 V + the current amplitude/2) to (1.25 V - the current amplitude/2).

5. Set the start phase

Press StartPhase to set the start phase of the signal. For the setting method,

please refer to the introduction in "Parameter Setting Method". The range is

from 0°to 360°.
