Backup rules 517
• Path — specifies the location of the file on the FTP server. Ranges in
length from 1 to 64 characters. All characters are supported with the
exception of white space.
• Number of versions — number of incremental backup versions
preserved on the FTP server. Ranges from 1 to 10, with one as the
default value. Note that this range differs from the SCS rule type, which
is 2 to 10.
White space characters are not supported in backup rule parameters.

The backup rule number control is static and cannot be changed by the
user. Asterisk characters replace the actual password characters in the
password and password confirmation controls.
The Rule Name, Login name, Password, Password confirmation, and
Path controls restrict the maximum length of characters entered. An alert
box appears when an invalid character (such as white space) is entered.
