6.2.2
High Inertia Loads: Crushers, Centrifuges, Mixers, Etc.
(In these cases the actual current is at the
CURRENT LIMIT setting during part of the starting time)
Starting Voltage–
set 40%
Current Limit–
set 400%
Ramp UP Time–
set 3 sec
Upon START the voltage and current increase until the current reaches the
Current Limit value. The
voltage remains at this value until the motor reaches close to nominal speed, where current starts to decrease
and voltage continues to ramp-up to nominal.
6.2.3
Special Starting Using DUAL Settings
Using two starting characteristics, the ASTAT-BP will accelerate using standard characteristics (
Starting
Voltage, Ramp UP Time and Current Limit). After transition (tx), Immediate Relay (RUN relay) ON
Delay, voltage to auxiliary input C1 is switched ON using the DUAL Settings characteristic to complete
acceleration.
Perform the following steps:
•
Program
PROG.AUX.Relay to IMMEDIATE (default setting), program Relay ON Delay to tx. Refer to
Section 4.7.8 page 39.
•
Program
PROG. Input C1 to DUAL Settings.Refer to Section 4.7.8 page 39.
•
Program standard parameters and
DUAL Settings parameters as shown in the table below. Refer to
Section 4.7.5 page 35.
•
To use
DUAL Settings automatically, connect immediate relay in series to auxiliary input terminal C1 as
shown in section 6.2.3.1 below.
•
Using two starting characteristics, the ASTAT-BP will accelerate to reach the 200% current limit. After tx
voltage to
PROG. Input C1 is switched ON, using the DUAL Settings characteristic to complete
acceleration.
