4-8. LEAF BLOWERS MODELS 692 AND 693
(See Figure 4-58).
4-8.1 These leaf blowers have twin heavy duty 5
inch caster type ball bearing front wheels and
12 x 3 inch rear wheels with ball bearings for
easier maneuverability. Unit also has a folding
handle and continuous crank-type height
adjustment.
4-8.2 The difference between the 692 and 693 leaf
blowers is that the 692 is a 5 HP unit and the
693 is an 8 HP unit.
4-8.3 If excessive vibration is encountered on this
unit the air vane plate assembly should be
checked. If this assembly is damaged or defec-
tive, excessive vibration may develop. Contin-
ued operation under these conditions could
cause damage to the engine crankshaft. To
correct the problem the entire assembly must
be replaced. Order part number 14536. All air
vane plate assemblies are now being balanced
to eliminate this condition. See Figure 4-59.
4-8.4 2-Way Air Discharge. Your leaf blower is
equipped with an adjustable chute deflector.
Simply push down on handle provided and
swing door towards the front to discharge out
the side, or to the side to discharge out the
front. See Figure 4-60.
4-8.5 Height Adjustment. The height adjustment
crank is located on the right hand side of the
leaf blower. Turn crank clockwise to raise dis-
charge chute. Turn crank counterclockwise to
lower. See Figure 4-61.
