21. Inspect all components for damage or wear.

See Figure 6-135.

22. Inspect the kickoff valve spool for damage or

wear. See Figure 6-136.

NOTE

Make certain the small internal bypass port is
clear of any obstructions.

23. Assemble in reverse order above.

Removing the Pressure Relief Valve

CAUTION

Removing and installing the pressure relief
valve will change the hydraulic systems oper-
ating pressure. The Pressure Relief Valve
Adjustment section must be performed to reset
the operating pressure to specification.

1. Remove the hex cap plug from the top of the

control valve body using a 5/8" wrench. See
Figure 6-137.

2. Inspect the “O” ring on the hex cap plug to

make certain it is not damaged. See Figure 6-
138.

3. Mark the adjustment set screw location using a

sharp object.

4. Count the number of rotations the adjustment

set screw rotates while removing it using a flat-
blade screw driver. See Figure 6-139.
