16-bit Rendering and 8-bit Rendering

This setting is related to the accuracy of processing gradations. If data is processed at 16-bits, the gradations
can be cleanly printed, but during raster image processing, 16-bit processing takes longer than 8-bit processing.
If the data that contains no gradations is processed at 16-bits, the quality will not improve, only the RIP time will
increase.
Therefore, we recommend using Smart 16-bit processing to automatically determine whether or not the data
contains gradations.

Use 8-bit processing

The processing is high-speed, but highlights in gradations may not be
expressed smoothly.

Use Smart 16-bit processing
(Default value)

Only jobs that include gradations are processed with 16-bit processing.
Other jobs are processed with 8-bit processing.

Use 16-bit processing

Jobs are processed with 16-bit processing.
