3.2.7

Alarm Code Output Signals (ALM1, ALM2, ALM4, ALM8)

When an alarm generates, the alarm information is output using the ALM1 to 8 ports so that the nature of the
alarm can also be recognized on the PLC side.

For details, refer to 5.3, “Alarm Description Output Using PIO” in Appendix.

3.2.8

Zone (ZONE1, ZONE2)

The ZONE1 signal turns ON when the current actuator position is inside the range specified by “Parameter No.
1: Zone 1+” and “Parameter No. 2: Zone 1-,” and OFF when outside this range. This signal is always effective
after a home return has completed, and not affected by the servo status or alarm status. (The ZONE2 signal
turns ON/OFF according to “Parameter No. 23: Zone 2+” and “Parameter No. 24: Zone 2-.”)

(Note 1) This signal becomes effective after the coordinate system is established following a home return.

Turning on the power is not enough to output this signal.
Once a home return is complete, this signal remains effective even when the servo is OFF or during an
emergency stop.

(Note 2) The zone function is changed through a version upgrade. Refer to the cautions in the beginning of this

manual.

Example of operation/use) Output a zone signal inside the zone of 40 to 120 mm as the actuator moves from

its home to the 150-mm position (position 1).

Method)
