(1) Alphanumeric keys and shift keys
You can use the alphanumeric keys in conjunction
with the shift keys to enter letters, digits, and
symbols.

a) Entering digits, symbols, and spaces [i.e.,
0-9, period (.), hyphen (-), underscore (_)]
Simply press the required alphanumeric key.

Press an alphanumeric key following a shift key to
enter the letter shown on the same side as the shift
key. The shift key must be pressed for each letter
being input.
