If Something Goes Wrong

Internet problems

5.375 x 8.375 ver 2.1

My browser can’t find the Magnia SG20 intranet.

If your browser cannot find the Magnia SG20 intranet, try
browsing to “http://192.168.1.1/” instead of
“http://myserver/” or “http://myserver.loc” and instead of
using the desktop icon provided by the Magnia SG20 "Client
Setup- and Documentation CD". If this works, your server’s
name may have been changed from “myserver.” To see what
your server’s name is, browse to the Magnia SG20
Administration Web site using “http://192.168.1.1:8282/.”
Click Advanced on the Network tab’s Local Network page.
The initial factory setting for the Magnia SG20’s name is
“myserver.” If this has changed, all Magnia SG20 Setup CD
desktop icons created before the name change will need to be
updated to reference the new name.

If you cannot browse to the intranet using
“http://192.168.1.1/,” then the Magnia SG20 may be turned
off. It must be turned on and finished warming up before you
can access the intranet.

You should check to see if the Magnia SG20 is turned on.

Check your cables between the client machine and the
Magnia SG20. Make sure the client machine is connected to
one of the seven local network ports. (Remember that the
eighth port is for expansion and cannot be connected directly
to a client machine without a cross-over cable.)

Reboot your client machine. If the client machine was
powered on before the Magnia SG20 was finished warming
up, then your client machine might not be recognized and
assigned a valid IP address (Internet Protocol address) by the
Magnia SG20. Rebooting the client machine will fix this.
