Installing TCP/IP
If there is no listing for TCP/IP in the box labeled
“The following network components are installed:” continue
with these steps to install TCP/IP.
1 Click Add.
2 When the Select Network Component Type dialog box
appears, click Protocol in the box labeled Click the type
of network component you want to install: then click
Add.
3 In the Manufacturers list, click Microsoft. In the
Network Protocols list, click TCP/IP, then click OK.
TCP/IP should now be included in the list labeled The
following network components are installed: on the
Network Properties dialog box.
4 Click OK and follow the prompts.
5 Restart the client computer to complete installation of
TCP/IP.
6 Click Start, Settings, Control Panel and double-click
the Network icon.
The Network Properties dialog box appears.
7 Click the Identification tab. If the Workgroup box does
not contain the word “SAWORKGROUP,” your network
settings must be configured.
Configuring network settings
1 Click Start, Settings, Control Panel and double-click
the Network icon.
The Network Properties dialog box appears.
2 Click the Configuration tab.
