5.2 Key functions for instrument operation

START begins the coverslipping operation. This is only possible from

READY or PAUSE mode.

The "READY" LED is illuminated in green in READY mode and red in

PAUSE mode.

Pressing PAUSE interrupts the coverslipping operation (BUSY LED is

illuminated). Processing of the current specimen slide finishes before

the instrument switches to PAUSE mode.

The "READY" LED is illuminated in red afterwards.

PAUSED appears in the display. Press START to continue the coverslip-

ping operation.

STOP interrupts the coverslipping operation immediately. The "ERROR"

is illuminated in red; the display reads "STOPPED" and a signal tone is

output.

Press the START button to continue working. The instrument is reinitial-

ized when the button is pushed.

Refer to Chapter 5.3 under "Check Bath",

"Prime" and Chapter 5.6 "Interrupting the coverslipping operation".

Pushing the LIFT button moves the output magazine into the removal

position.

The function is disabled while the "BUSY" LED is illuminated.

After the output magazine reaches the output position, all spec-

imen slides must be removed before the coverslipping opera-

tion can be resumed.

Non-observance can lead to damage of the specimen slide.
