5.6 Interrupting the coverslipping operation

Press PAUSE to interrupt the coverslipping operation.

• The currently processed specimen slide is completely coverslipped

and pushed into the output magazine, accompanied by the message

"PAUSING".

• If this step is ended, the message "PAUSED" is shown in the display.

A signal tone is emitted at the same time.

• Confirm the signal tone by pressing the RESPOND button.

• Use the START button to continue the coverslipping operation.

5. Operation

Whenever the instrument is to pause only briefly (e.g. to refill the

cover slip magazine), use PAUSE to interrupt the instrument with-

out having to run through a complete initialization and prime cycle.

If a just partly filled output magazine is to be removed, press LIFT

and proceed as outlined under Chap. 5.5.

In PAUSE mode, pressing and holding the RESPOND button

(>2 sec) allows you to change coverslipping parameters or select

another parameter set (SET 1 through 4) (

see Chap. 5.8

).
