TIP

If you are migrating the RSBizWare suite to two computers, perform the
following steps on the Target RSBizWare server computer.

A privilege is a distinct function of FactoryTalk Metrics and

FactoryTalk Historian Classic applications that is assigned to
security groups or individual users. Individual users can have
privileges assigned to them, and they can inherit privileges from the
security groups to which they belong. For example, if a group has
been granted privileges for the Configuration Console "Create New
Report Objects" feature, the users assigned to that group are able to
create new report objects in the Configuration Console.

Application privileges apply to the use of the Configuration Console
and reporting using QuickWeb only. They do not apply to Report
Expert.

You can manage the privileges and permissions that a user has either
by assigning privileges and permissions directly to the user or by

assigning privileges and permissions to a user group, and then
placing the user in one or more user groups. A user belonging to a
group will inherit the privileges and permissions that have been
assigned to the group. Since users can belong to multiple groups,
