Chapter 3 Installing RSBizWare
Item Description
Assigned The number of activations that have been assigned to the
selected RSBizWare server.
Only assigned activations will be detected by the product
running on the selected server.
In the table, you may see the following types of activations:
Activation type Description
Metrics Server
Manager XX
Workcells
A FactoryTalk Metrics server license for the specified
number of work cells.
You can assign more than one license. If you do, the number
of work cells will be summed.
FactoryTalk Historian
XXX Tag
A FactoryTalk Historian Classic server license for the
specified number of tags.
You can assign more than one license. If you do, the number
of tags will be summed.
FactoryTalk Metrics
Author A single-user Authoring license that is assigned to a specific
user.
With this license, you can configure a FactoryTalk Metrics
system using the Configuration Console.
FactoryTalk Historian
Author A single-user Authoring license that is assigned to a specific
user.
With this license, you can configure a FactoryTalk Historian
Classic system using the Configuration Console.
RSBizWare Single
User Runtime
Activation A license that allows a single user to access reports from
FactoryTalk Historian Classic or FactoryTalk Metrics (using
either Report Expert or QuickWeb.)
You can assign more than one license. If you do, the number
of users will be summed.
RSBizWare Unlimited
User Runtime
Activation
A license that allows an unlimited number of users to access
reports from FactoryTalk Historian Classic or FactoryTalk
Metrics (using either Report Expert or QuickWeb.).
You can assign only one license of this type.
3. In the Assign Activations to list, select the RSBizWare server
to which you want to assign activations.
4. Under Activation, click the activation that you want to assign
to the server.
5. Click Assign an Activation.
