or if the configuration has pending edits.

FactoryTalk Transaction Manager supports sending error messages

to the Windows Event Viewer. If you have defined error logging in
FactoryTalk Transaction Manager and no messages display when
you view error log files, make sure you are looking in the Application
event log in the Windows Event Viewer.

To trace a FactoryTalk Transaction Manager problem in the
Windows Event Viewer:

1. Go to Start > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer.
2. The Event Viewer dialog box appears.
3. Expand Windows Logs.
4. Right-click Application, and then click Filter Current Log.

The Filter Current Log dialog box appears.

5. Select check boxes next to all the event levels (Critical,

Warning, Verbose, Error, Information).

6. In the Event sources list, select RSSql.
7. (Optional) In the Task category list, select a specific category.
8. Click OK.

The application logs are filtered and display only the logs
related to FactoryTalk Transaction Manager.

FactoryTalk Transaction Manager does not support RSLinx Classic

as an application. You must run RSLinx Classic as a Windows
2012/2008/2003 service.
