Chapter 3 Installing RSBizWare

In this section you will create FactoryTalk user groups and users.

The final infrastructure of groups and users will depend on your
specific requirements and may differ from the one presented below.

In the following examples, we will add the local Windows
Administrator account to FactoryTalk users. Then, we will create
another FactoryTalk user and add it to a user group:

• Configure Windows-linked FactoryTalk users (page 60)
• Configure FactoryTalk users (page 64)

For information on best practices for creating FactoryTalk user
groups and users, see the FactoryTalk Security help

TIP

If you have chosen the installation on two computers, perform the
following steps on the RSBizWare server computer.

In these steps you will add a local Administrator account as a
Windows-linked user. The Administrator account is already
automatically added to the Windows Administrators group under
User Groups.
