Client requests can share a single connection, but more than
one connection may help reduce delays for multiple client
requests.

Now the tables and views in your external data source will be
available to users when they create new report data sources.
If the connection between the Information Services Manager and
the database (Oracle or SQL Server) is broken, and the error
message that the server receives from the database is one of the errors
known by the server to cause temporary database connection loss,
the server will attempt to reconnect to the database without user
intervention.
