Initialize

The drive contains a default set of parameters and setup information. This can form a basis for
configuring the drive. To initialize the drive with the default set of data, press the [F3] key. The
screen will appear as in Figure 55, indicating the operation you are about to perform.

The screen then will ask you to confirm the operation. Press the [F8] key to proceed, or the [F9]
key to abort. Performing an initialization will overwrite the data currently in the drive. Previous
changes which were saved to EEPROM will not be affected.

Save

The changes which you have made to the drive data must be saved if you do not want to lose the
data when the drive is powered off. To save the changes, press the [F5] key. A screen similar to
Figure 55 will be shown (except the operation and status will show SAVE TO EEPROM and SAVE
PENDING respectively).

To confirm the operation, press the [F8] key to proceed, or the [F9] key to abort. Saving the data
will overwrite the previously stored data in the EEPROM.

Load

The changes which you stored in EEPROM are automatically used each time the drive is powered
up. If you make changes to the data in the drive (without saving) and then wish to use the
previously stored data, press the [F4] key.

A screen similar to Figure 55 will be shown (except the operation and status will show
DOWNLOAD EEPROM and DOWNLOAD PENDING respectively).

To confirm the operation, press the [F8] key to proceed, or the [F9] key to abort. Loading the data
will overwrite the data currently being used by the drive.
