Configuring the Drive
From the information collected, on the Medium Voltage
Checklist, enter all nameplate parameters in the drive, through
the operator terminal. This may be accomplished by pressing
the "SETUP" (F8) softkey from the PanelView 550 main screen.
The named boxes at the bottom of the screen correspond with
the F1 through F10 keys on the PanelView terminal. During the
course of modifying the parameters the PanelView 550 may
prompt you to save the parameters entered. It is recommended
you save all parameters. More information on the operator
terminal and the parameter may be obtained from Chapters 5,6,
and 7.
From the setup screen, press the "PARAMS" (F7) softkey.
From the parameter screen use the arrow keys to select
"Nameplate" options, and press enter. Select each of the
nameplate parameters with the arrow keys and press enter.
Modify each parameter value until correct. The two entries that
may be require special attention are the "Rated motor KW"
which does not need to be entered, if the "Rated motor HP" is
entered. The HP does not need to be entered, if the KW is
entered. The "Tach pulses/rev" does not need to be entered, if
that option board does not exist in the drive.
To change a value, select the correct entry from the previous
figures and press enter. Then enter the value desired. In this
example we change the line voltage to 4160 volts. When
finished press the F10 softkey to exit.
Review the associated metering connected to the analog outputs and configure the meter scaling.
