6.11 818 IC Pump
6.11.1 818 IC Pump features
The Metrohm 818 IC Pump is a metal-free serial dual piston high
pressure pump for ion chromatography.
The 818 IC Pump is completely remote controlled and can be op-
erated using the «IC Net» program.
The 818 IC Pump can be connected to the 830 IC Interface using
the 6.2134.080 or 6.2134.090 cable, for direct connection of the
818 IC Pump to a PC COM port, use the 6.2134.040 or
6.2134.100 cable. The
818 Isocratic pump device must be selected
for the installation of the 818 IC Pump in a system.
Examples for interconnections with the 818 IC Pump can be
found in the 830 Instructions for Use.
The cable connection between 818 IC Pump and 830 IC Inter-
face or PC must be made before switching on the instrument.

6.11.2 818 IC Pump icon
The 818 icon is available in the SYSTEM window if an 818 Isocratic
pump has been installed with the New system wizard or by using
the Setup/New devices/Install new device option of the SYSTEM win-
dow (see section 6.1.2).
If the system is connected and the
818 icon is clicked with the
right mouse button, the following menu appears:
Open Open the 818 IC Pump window for parameter settings
(this window can also be opened by double-clicking
the icon).
Unlink Delete the 818 icon from the system.
