Configuring RIP FRR

Network requirements

Router S, Router A, and Router D are interconnected through RIPv2, as illustrated in

Figure 14

. Configure

RIP FRR so that when Link A between Router S and Router D fails, traffic can be switched to Link B

immediately.

Configuration procedure

1.

Configure IP addresses for the interfaces on each router and configure RIPv2:

to configure the IP address and subnet mask of each interface on the routers.

Configure RIPv2 on the routers, making sure that Router A, Router D, and Router S can

communicate with each other at Layer 3. (Details not shown)
