18.

If perforated floor tiles are required for ventilation, you should place them in front of the

UPS and Switchboard System Bypass Module (SSBM).

19.

Ambient air convection cooling is the only cooling requirement for the SSBM.

Recommended minimum clearance over the SSBM is 304.8 mm (12 in.).

Do not block ventilation grills.

20.

Your Switchboard System Bypass Module operating environment must meet the size

and weight requirements shown in the enclosed switchboard vendor drawings.

21.

The basic environmental requirements for operation of the UPS system are:

Ambient Temperature Range:

0---25˚C (32---77˚F)

Recommended Operating Range: 20---25˚C (68---77˚F)

Maximum Relative Humidity:

95% noncondensing

22.

For SSBM and SMB rated for 100 kAIC, secure cables as shown in figure below to prevent

cable whipping. Wrap line cable together with nominal 3/8 inch (9.5mm) nylon rope or

other rope having a minimum tensile strength of 2000 pounds (8896 N). Wrap line cables

at 6 inches (152mm) and 12 inches (305mm) from the line terminals with five wraps. Wrap

each additional 6 inch (152.4mm) interval with five wraps or 1 inch (25.4mm) intervals with

one wrap.
