Configuring system settings

/cfg/sys/host <host ID>

followed by:

routes

Accesses the Host Routes menu, in order
to manage static routes for the Nortel SNAS
when there is more than one interface (see

“Configuring static routes” (page 270)

).

interface <interface

number>

Accesses the Host Interface menu, in order
to configure an IP interface (see

“Configuring

host interfaces” (page 268)

).

port

Accesses the Host Port menu, in order to
configure port properties (see

“Configuring

host ports” (page 271)

).

ports

Lists the physical ports on the device, by port
number. Ports that can exist on the same
network (for failover or trunking) are listed
together, separated by a comma (,). A port
that cannot exist on the same network as
other listed ports appears after a colon (:). For
example:

Ports = 1,2:3

hwplatform

the hardware platform of the Nortel SNAS
device.

halt

Stops Nortel SNAS processing. Always use
this command before turning off the device.

If the Nortel SNAS you want to halt has
become isolated from the cluster, you will
receive an error message when executing
the

halt

command. In this case, log on to

the Nortel SNAS using a console connection
or remotely by connecting to the Nortel
SNAS RIP (host address). Then use the

/boot/halt

command (see

"halt" (page 362)

).
