Probes
This circle will serve as a reference feature for
subsequent measurements using other probe
magnifications.
4 Select a new magnification for offset compensation. In this example,
the X20 magnification is selected.
5 Measure the reference circle again using the
new magnification.
An offset might be shown in the Part View win-
dow.
6 Construct a distance between the reference
circle and the new circle. Refer to Chapter 5:
Measuring for instructions regarding construc-
tions if necessary.
7 Click Probe/Probe Properties and enter
the X and Y distance values shown in the
Results window into the X and Y Magnifi-
cation Offset fields for the new probe, and
then click OK.
The position data gathered using the new
probe magnification will now match those of the reference probe
magnification in subsequent measurements.
8 Repeat the process of steps 4 through 7 to compensate other edge probe magnification offsets.
