Selecting and teaching the probe
A detailed description of probes is provided by
Chapter 4: Probes. The optical edge detector probe must
be selected and then calibrated to recognize the con-
trast between dark and light levels on your comparator
screen.
You will be instructed to move the
optical edge detector probe into a
dark area on the screen and press
OK.
You will then be will be instructed
to move the edge detector probe into
a light area of the screen and press
OK.
You will be notified when the light
calibration process is complete.
Turning program recording ON
A detailed description of programming is provided by
Chapter 8: Programming. Click the Record/Edit Program
toolbar button to begin recording your measurement ac-
tivities as a program.
Select the optical edge
detector...
and then click Teach to
calibrate light levels
