The system will measure the light intensity of the light area and then ask you to move the probe into a dark
area again.
6 Move the probe into a dark area and then click OK.
The system will then ask you to specify the part dimension that you intend to measure along the X-axis.
NOTE
If the system indicates that the contrast calibration was unsuccessful, use the Tools/
Options/Optical Probes screen to troubleshoot system illumination, or seek the as-
sistance of a qualified support technician.
7 Enter the X dimension into the Distance Cal Field
and then click OK.
The system will then ask you to measure the
part along the X-axis.
8 Measure the part along the X-axis. The
measurement result will be compared to the
specified value and you will be asked if the
accuracy is acceptable.
If the accuracy is not acceptable, click the
No button. The system will adjust the con-
trast calibration slightly and you will be instructed to repeat the X-axis measurement.
When the measurement accuracy is accept-
able, click the Yes button to complete the
calibration.
