Dark/Light contrast ( Teach function)
Simple dark/light contrast measurements must be performed at each optical magnification. To measure
contrast:
1 Click the Probe/Teach menu item. You will be asked to move the probe into a
dark area.
2 Move the probe into a dark area and then click OK.
The system will measure the light intensity of the dark area, and then ask you to move the probe into a
light area.
3 Move the probe into a light area and then click OK.
The system will measure the light intensity of the light area and then inform you that the calibration was
successful.
NOTE
If the system indicates that the contrast calibration was unsuccessful, use the Tools/
Options/Optical Probes screen to troubleshoot system illumination, or seek the as-
sistance of a qualified support technician.
