Each set of three IronWare Ethernet Carrier router and/or Ethernet Edge router devices with an
MPLS license are counted as one MPLS device. You must discover three devices before the
Management application counts one MPLS device.

NOTE

Each IronWare Ethernet Carrier router or Ethernet Edge router device counts as one device in
the Managed IP product count calculation.

Managed Ethernet Fabric count calculation

NOTE

If you exceed the maximum product count for your version, software functionality is impacted and
you must reduce the product count using the Discover Setup - IP dialog box or contact your vendor
to purchase an additional license for your version.

You can have up to 40 Ethernet fabrics . The managed Ethernet fabric count is calculated using the
following rules:

A licensed Ethernet fabric has three or more nodes with an assigned license counts as one
fabric.

An unlicensed Ethernet fabric has three or more nodes with no license assigned counts as one
fabric.

Unlicensed Ethernet fabrics do not have access to management features such as AMPP, VM
Management, L2 Trace Route, and sFlow reports.

An Ethernet fabric with less than three nodes is not counted.
