Devices - Multicell Devices (7.1)

A device that has more than one set of intensities or color sources. The challenge in controlling this
type of devices is that there may be several intensity controls, and multiple cells of color mixing light
sources that can be controlled both individually and as a group.

Sometimes these fixtures are controlled as one unit, with pan/tilt and overall intensity - and at the
same time it is desirable to have individual control of each cell to be able to create effects, fanned
intensities, or pixel mapping.

Examples of multicell devices.

• A moving device with individually controllable cells of LEDs, such as the Clay Paky B-Eye.

• A multicell striplight, like the ETC Selador 63.

• An LED-array such as the Martin EvenLED.

Channel Selection of multicell devices
There are a number of channel selection functions to optimize selecting channels and subchannels in a
multicell or decimal device. Three Auto groups are created: xxx (all), xxx (base) and xxx (decimal).

Selection logic for touch screen/mouse operation

• Clicking on a base channel will now select the base channel, not the related decimal ones.

• Holding SELECT while clicking on a base channel will expand the related selection

operation to include the associated sub channels.

• Holding THRU when clicking on a channel after selecting one, will select a range of

channels
