Shut down the machine and continue the balancing procedure in the next
section.

Adding the Trial Weight and Taking a Measurement

The Add Trial Weight screen, as shown below, appears upon completion of the
Initial run measurement.

You can manually enter the trial weight, the angle, and the radius, or you can have
the Enpac 2500 automatically estimate the trial weight for you.

To Manually Enter the Trial Weight

Use the UP and DOWN ARROW keys to highlight the parameters. Press the
RIGHT ARROW key and then enter the trial weight, angle, or radius value
using the numeric key pad. When your entry is complete, press the LEFT
ARROW key.

In the Mass parameter, enter the trial weight. This is the amount of weight
you will attach to the rotor.

2.

In the Angle parameter, enter the location (in degrees) of the trial weight
on the rotor. The angle is measured from the reference mark in the
direction specified in the Movement parameter in the Balance Setup
screen.

IMPORTANT

Anytime during the initial run, you can do the following:

Press F4 (Esc) to exit the balancing program.
Press the 0 (Shift) key and F1 (Go to) simultaneously to go back to a

previous step in the balance run.

Press F2 (Summary) to display the results in the Vibration Summary

Table.
