Balancing Application

Chapter 8

Adding the Correction Weights and Taking a Residual Measurement

The Enpac 2500 calculates and displays the recommended balancing weight for
the two planes in the Correction Weight - Solution screen.

Use the Plane parameter to toggle between the planes. You can split the
correction weight into two distinct angles, as well as modify the radius of the
correction weight. Additionally, the Enpac 2500 calculates the amount of weight
that might be removed if weights are already attached to the rotor.

To Toggle Between the Planes

Highlight Plane, then press the RIGHT ARROW key to open a menu of
choices. Select the desired plane and press the LEFT ARROW key to save the
selection.

IMPORTANT

Anytime during the initial run, you can do the following:

Press F4 (Esc) to exit the balancing program.
Press the 0 (Shift) key and F1 (Go to) simultaneously to go back to a

previous step in the balance run.

Refer to Moving Around in a Balance Run on page 233

for details.

Press F2 (Summary) to display the results in the Vibration Summary

Table.

Refer to Reviewing Data on page 233

for details.

IMPORTANT

If you set Solution to `Static-Couple‘ in the Advanced Setup screen, the
Enpac 2500 calculates the correction weight for the shaft and displays it in
plane 3.

Refer to Advanced Setup Parameters on page 213

.
