Load paper of the new size, and then slide the lateral guide to fit the
size of the paper.
– Move the lateral
guide while holding
the release button
pressed. When the
button is released,
the guide is locked
in place.
– When loading tab
paper, position the
side with the tab
facing the trailing-
edge guide.

Fully push in the paper tray.
– If non-standard-sized paper, thick paper, tab paper, or special pa-
per was loaded, specify the settings for the loaded paper in the Pa-
per Type screen. Refer to “Specifying Paper Settings for Paper
Trays” on page 7-22.
