Optimizing acceleration

If the maximum acceleration of the servo loop cannot be determined with the battery supply, the
acceleration can be optimized as follows:

Enter following values for

position supervision

MP1410: 0.5

MP1420: 30

MP1060

Increase "acceleration"

in small steps.

Press machine START button in the

"PROGRAM RUN/FULL SEQUENCE"

operating mode.

Enter the 0.7 to 0.9-fold factor of

the determined values

as acceleration in MP1060.

Enter following program in

"PROGRAMMING AND EDITING"

operating mode:

Control stops machine.

Error display

"POSITIONING ERROR"

Connect storage oscilloscope to

tachometer of servo-amplifier of X axis.

Enter acceleration from MP1060.0

in MP1060.1 to 1060.4.

Move the Y, Z and IV axes with

the acceleration value found.

Reduce values, if necessary.

Program the traverse paths for the axis concerned as large as possible.
