Group ID - The number used to identify the group. It was automatically assigned when you created
the group.

Protocol(s) - The protocol(s) that belongs to the group. There are three configurable protocols: IP,
IPX, and ARP.

IP - IP is a network layer protocol that provides a connectionless service for the delivery of data.

ARP - Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) is a low-level protocol that dynamically maps network
layer addresses to physical medium access control (MAC) addresses.

IPX - The Internetwork Packet Exchange (IPX) is a connectionless datagram Network-layer
protocol that forwards data over a network.

VLAN - The VLAN ID associated with the group.

Slot/Port(s) - The interfaces associated with the group.

Command Buttons

Refresh - Update the screen with the latest information.

Managing IP Subnet-based VLAN

11.3.8.1 IP Subnet-based VLAN Configuration Page

IP Subnet to VLAN mapping is defined by configuring an entry in the IP Subnet to VLAN table. An entry
is specified via a source IP address, network mask, and the desired VLAN ID. The IP Subnet to VLAN
configurations are shared across all ports of the device.

Selection Criteria

IP Address - Selects the IP Address bound to a VLAN ID. To add another IP Subnet-based VLAN,
select "Add" option.

Configurable Data

IP Address - Valid IP Address bound to VLAN ID. This field is configurable only when a new IP
Subnet Based VLAN is being created. IP Address in dotted decimal notation.

Subnet Mask - Valid Subnet Mask of the IP Address. This field is configurable only when a new IP
Subnet-based VLAN is being created. Subnet mask should be in dotted decimal notation.

VLAN ID - VLAN ID can be any number in the range of (1 to 3965).
